Life’s journeys are many. Photography seems my perfect fit.
An artsy Mom filled my childhood with the touch of Norman Rockwell through books, magazines, and a cherished plate collection. Dad’s talent with his camera capturing family memories fed my desire to equal his abilities.
My focus in photography began as many do, with the birth of a child; taking focus on the many highlights in life. This first focus guided me to my children’s grammar school, where I instantly fell in love with telling stories through my photography. This led to a position as their school’s Public Relations/Publicity Coordinator, giving me the opportunity to capture the lives and stories of children throughout the school. Newspaper connections supported my writing and photojournalistic storytelling throughout the years. Involving myself in the College of DuPage Photography program expanded my interests and styles, but also introduced me to the Easterseals organization. For more than 20 years, Easterseals has provided me the opportunity to meet families to capture, and highlight, the many achievements family members accomplish through the wonderful therapy programs they provide.
While my interests have expanded, I most enjoy capturing the unique personality and interest portrayed to create ones portrait in their natural setting. Based in Downers Grove, I find great joy in creating lasting memories.
Photography allows me to not just meet people, but to share my life’s journey as I capture theirs.
